Attending a UX conference can be a remarkable way to network, learn and get inspired (and let’s face it, the networking parties organised for attendees are not exactly a deal-breaker!)
UX conferences tend to foster a genuine sense of community—UX is still a bit of an unknown field, so UX freelancers, those who may be the only UXer in their company, or those who want to get into UX, can meet like-minded (and often influential) people. Presentations and speakers vary widely, but you can generally expect to get insights into the UX industry, learn new techniques (did I hear someone say “UX Cupcakes”?) and hear inspiring stories.
A conference ticket can seem expensive if you’re footing the bill yourself—UX Australia, for example, costs AUD$750-850 for a two-day conference—but the experience of attending can be priceless.
Our UX Conferences resource is a global list of industry conferences that either specialise in UX or cater heavily to UX audiences (it’s a grey area, we know). You can enter keywords into the text field to filter conferences, or sort by region and organiser.
Note: this isn’t an up-to-date calendar of conferences that are coming up—Find UX Events do a good job of that! What we have included are links to past presentations (video, audio and/or slides) for each conference where appropriate—we hope you find that useful. Some of this material is free, some is not. We haven’t included pricing for each conference as these can be subject to change, and may also be offered on a sliding scale. See each conference link for more information.

No doubt we’ve missed a few. Let us know if you are aware of any others—we are keen to keep this list as up-to-date and comprehensive as possible!
