Sketchnotes From UX Australia 2012

The UX Mastery team were in sunny Brisbane last week for the excellent UX Australia 2012 conference. We had a blast and returned home feeling better educated, inspired, and connected.

We’ll write more about what we learned at the conference in a separate post, but in the meantime I thought I’d publish the sketchnotes of twelve of the sessions that I attended. Unfortunately, because the conference contained two tracks, I wasn’t able to attend every session (I’m devastated that I missed Stephen Cox’s talk in particular, as I’m told it was amazing). I’m looking forward to the audio and slides from each presentation being published online in a few weeks.

Here’s the set of all twelve sketchnotes:

A huge thank you to Donna and Steve, the dynamic duo behind UX Australia. The conference really was well organised and a lot of fun, and I was honoured to be asked to present my What the @#$% is UX Design? presentation on stage before the closing keynote. I had some lovely feedback afterwards, which was great!

My talk is available online if you weren’t at the conference, or just want to relive it! A big thank you to all the people who made so many encouraging comments (either in-person or via email/Twitter).

It was great to see these sketchnotes as they were being drawn and thanks for sharing the 2 days worth of talks, makes me want to start drawing…

Also, excellent presentation on Friday, a great way to engage everyone in the room and share your UX view.
