It’s a 200km bicycle ride through the Victorian countryside, and ride participants raise money for the Peter MacCallum hospital for cancer research.
We’d love it if you could take a few minutes to do two things for us:
- Watch the video above (we’ve only just published it, and are really quite proud of how it turned out!).
- Share our website, charityvideo.com.au via your social network(s) of choice—Twitter, Facebook, email, whichever you’re most comfortable with. When you do so, encourage others to also pass it on.
The more we get the word out, the greater the chance of reaching our target of $20,000 for this important cause.
That’s right: $20,000!
Yep, the five of us are hoping to raise $4,000 each. Rather than hold 1,184 sausage sizzles, we thought we’d try making a whiteboard animation (like the one I linked to above) and selling advertising space in the video before we film it. There are just 20 spots available—actually 19, as we sold our first one today (wooo!)
If the video receives a good number of views, we’ll have a strong case to convince more companies that a sponsored spot in our whiteboard animation is worth paying for.
We believe we’re onto something here with this unique idea, and that people will naturally want to share it. But it’s brand new, and we need your help to get things started. Please help us reach this ambitious goal by sharing charityvideo.com.au with your friends—your help really will make a difference. Cancer is such a horrible, nasty thing to have to go through, and the folks at the Peter Mac hospital do an amazing job. Doing this small thing for us would be very much appreciated.
Thanks so much! And now it’s back to our regular UX-y program …
